2016 has been quite a ride! When we started For Papa’s Sake nearly 6 years ago, we knew we wanted to be more than an agency. We wanted to be a pillar in the community and really be able to give back.
Here’s a look back at some of our favorite moments in 2016!
In September, we walked for Annette Simon. Annette is our owner, Robert Simon’s mother who sadly passed away in 2005 from Alzheimer’s. For Papa’s Sake raised over $2,000 towards Alzheimer’s research. Next year, we hope to double this amount and hope to help find a cure for this heart-breaking disease.
During the holiday season, we collected over 40 scarves, gloves and hat sets or children in need at Faith Community Homes. We had donations come from caregivers, clients, friends and family. We were blown away from everyone’s generosity.
In December, we celebrated our annual holiday party at our office this year. It’s not very often that our caregivers get to spend time with one another so it was great to get everyone together and celebrate a successful 2016.
In 2017, we want to continue to build our community. We plan on getting involved with the Alzheimer’s Association again but also looking for additional organizations to get involved with. If you have any special organizations close to your heart and would like us to get involved, please contact Becky at Becky@forpapassake.com.
